Rick Harris is known widely for being the “Madman” who created the acclaimed vocal quartet, Mad Romance. Their latest CD, Aim High receives international airplay. An award-winning vocalist and arranger, Rick is also a multi-instrumentalist who plays most notably, piano and trumpet. He has led groups and been featured at the Monterey and the North Sea Jazz Festivals, the Kennedy Center, Blues Alley in Washington DC, and the Blue Note in New York City. Rick is the vocalist and front man for Little Big Band Atlanta, a ten-piece jazz ensemble that plays his own compositions and arrangements of the Great American Songbook in a variety of styles, including swing, samba, ballad, funk, bebop, mambo, and cha cha.

He has performed with Jon Faddis, Roy Hargrove, Bucky Pizzarelli, Al Grey, Gene Harris, Louie Bellson, Pam Bricker and Eva Cassidy. Locally, he hosts two monthly events – the Dahlonega Jazz Jam at Don Pollo, and Boomers Gone Wild at the Crimson Moon.
