Jerry earned a Bachelor of Music (Music Education), University of Georgia, Athens, GA, and took education classes required for Teacher Certification, Kennesaw State University, Kennesaw.

He has played trumpet and flugelhorn, sang, arranged, written, produced and recorded for various local bands in the Southeast as well as performing and/or recording with such groups as The Four Tops, The Temptations, Joe South, The Original Drifters (including two European tours), The Tams, Jerry Lee Lewis, Adlan Cruz and many others. Jerry is a former Cobb County Band Director (Lindley Middle School) and has taught band and orchestra at the numerous private schools. He has also served as Orchestra Director for many local churches.

Jerry has given private lessons for years and has taught band and orchestra for various home school organizations. He has lead worship, played trumpet and sang for many local church praise teams.

Jerry currently plays trumpet in the Memory Lane Jazz Ensemble, New Horizons Concert Band, and the Cobb Wind Symphony.
