Minutes of 3/6/14 Meeting of Executive Committee

Roswell New Horizons Band

A meeting of the Executive Committee (the “Committee”) of the Roswell New Horizons Bands (the “Bands”) was held at the Adult Recreation Center in Roswell, Georgia on Thursday, March 6, 2014, beginning at approximately 2:45 PM.  Present at the meeting were Committee members Jon Andersen, Jeff Cutchins, Art Geist, Joe Hehir, Sandy Kasten and Hamp Wideman,  Also present was the Bands’ music director, Bob Martin.

Mr. Andersen, the Committee Chairman, called the meeting to order.  The minutes of the previous meeting, having been earlier distributed, were approved.

Mr. Wideman presented revised report for the month of January and  the Treasurer’s Report for the month of February, which reflected total income for the month of $1,080.00; total expenses of $1,112.01, and as of February 28, 2011, funds on-hand of $3,445.09 in the Bands’ operating account. Upon motion made and seconded the Treasurer’s Report was unanimously approved. A copy of the Treasurer’s Report is attached to these minutes.

The Committee then discussed the past dues status of several members of the Band and directed Mr. Wideman to notify several of the delinquent members, via letter, of their status.  Mr. Andersen stated that he would address the situation with two other members and report back to the Committee.

Mr. Cutchins reported on the status of scheduled and potential performance opportunities. Mr. Martin pointed out that the Pops Band could perform with 32 members if the correct instruments were represented.  The optimum would be the full Pops Band of 45 members.  Mr. Cutchins noted that the opportunities for the Pops Band at 32 members would enhance his ability to find acceptable locations.

There being no further business to come before the Committee, upon motion made, seconded and unanimously approved, the meeting was adjourned at approximately 3:15 PM.

Respectfully Submitted,

Jon Lee AnderSen
